Engineering contractor John Holland has leased office space in Melbourne’s Carlton after winning the contract for early works on Melbourne Metro, Victoria’s biggest public transport project.

The lease is for Level 1 at 121 Cardigan Street, with the asking rent $380 per sqm gross plus GST.

The 1,556 sqm space comprise the entire first level of the two-storey building plus majority of the car parking.

The office space is mostly open plan, said leasing agents Stephen Land and Rob Harrington of Fitzroys.

Melbourne Metro would cost nearly $11 billion and will have five new underground stations along twin tunnels between South Yarra and Kensington.
