Darwin house prices record double-digit growth in 2012 as national dwelling values tread water: RP Data-Rismark

Darwin dwelling prices have increased 11.7% in the year to date, as nationally dwelling prices were virtually at a standstill, recording a 0.1% decline.

The latest figures from RP Data-Rismark show Darwin is alone among Australian capitals, with Sydney the next best performer, with dwelling values increasing 2.5% in the past 11 months. 

Other capitals were more or less stagnant, with only Melbourne showing a decline over 1%. Melbourne dwelling values are down 3.3% for the year to date.
