The beachfront Base Backpackers on Magnetic Island has hit the market.

Tenanted to Base Backers of Tourism Adventure Group, the property at 1 Nelly Bay Road sits on a near 1.1 hectare site fronting the water.

The main building occupies a total area of 1,244 sqm and the accomodation is in huts and campsites.

There are a total of 186 beds, 11 campsites, a commercial kitchen and a swimming pool.

Savills Hotels senior executive Christian Tsalikis says the offering will stand as a secure investment, underpinned by the lease to Base Backpackers.

“Tourism Adventure Group owns and operates 28 backpackers across Australia and New Zealand through their three brands – BASE, NOMADS, and UNITED,” Mr Tsalikis said.

Tsalikis is handling the marketing with Leon Alaban, Savills Hotels director, who said the unparalleled location attracts both international and domestic tourists who want to experience the best of what Queensland has to offer.

“The offering provides investors with the ideal beachfront asset, a solid covenant with a lease to Base Backpackers, who operate a business that procures an excellent trading history."

Offers to purchase close December 5.
