The NAB Online Retail Sales Index for the December 2015 quarter edition has estimated the Australian online retail market was worth $19.1bn in the 12 months to December 2015.

The survey noted month-on-month figures to December 2015 grew 2 percent, seasonally adjusted, driven in part by online sales growth on 2.5 percent. Australians spent an estimated $19.1 billion in retail online to December 2015. NAB report this level is equivalent to around 6.5% of the traditional bricks & mortar retail sector.
