Considered to be the geographical centre of Melbourne's population, Glen Iris real estate has long-been in demand.

The suburb sits in the south-east of Victoria's capital, and was founded in the mid-late 19th century.

Freestanding houses are by far the most common homes in the suburb, making up well over half of all residences.

The suburb has generally followed relatively predictable market trends, with unexpected peaks and troughs rarely seen.

Older coupes and established families have historically been the regions largest demographic.

Tooronga Village Shopping Centre is the most prominent retail precinct in the suburb.
