Walter Barda-designed Bronte Wave House sells pre-auction
The Bronte Wave House, a Walter Barda designed beach house completed in early 2014, has been sold reportedly pre-auction for around $15.75 million.
More than $13 million had been tipped for its 18 May auction. There is extensive use of New Guinea rosewood throughout the home including its wave-like ceilings.
Feaures include the lap pool which is indoor-outdoor complete with portholes that allow the swimmer to see into the ground floor living area.
There are limestone floors from the open-plan living areas to the wide terraces overlooking the ocean.
The property was listed with D’Leanne Lewis of Laing & Simmons, Double Bay for vendor, ski resort developer, Simon Harvey.
It is the second high price for the beachside Sydney suburb, topped only by a $16.5 million sale in 2013.
