The historic Collingwood warehouse of the Hong Kong-based banker Richard Lee was passed in at weekend auction at $1.3 million.

Lee, chief operating officer of the investment banking division of CLSA, and his wife Peta, bought the property in 2010 for $905,000.

They spent the next 18 months renovating part of the 150-year-old Victoria distillery.

The four-level three bedroom warehouse at 14/21 Northumberland Street had been listed Sarah Sharp, of RT Edgar.

The warehouse conversion was within the Barrett Burston Collingwood Malthouse.
