The northern suburbs of Sydney were the top performers last weekend as the harbour capital cleared 55 percent of its auctions, according to CoreLogic.

It's the second time in three weeks that no sub-region has cleared over 70 percent of its auctions.

The Northern Sydney and Hornsby areas were the closest, scoring the highest clearance rate across the board at just over 69 percent.

The Central Coast has been consistently hitting 50 percent over the last month, but this weekend saw its clearance rate slip to below 30 percent.

Across the capital's only Adelaide cleared over 60 percent of its stock as the winter hibernation well and truly sets in.
