The longtime rugby league commentator Steve “Blocker” Roach and his wife, Cathy have secured the $2.05 million sale of their East Ryde home.

The downsizing couple built the family home in 2004.

It is a two-storey five-bedroom home that backs on to the Field of Mars Reserve.

The couple are staying local.

John Paranchi from McGrath Hunters Hill secured the sale.

Steve ‘Blocker’ Roach has recently launched a multi-tier fundraising initiative to help provide much needed funds for Junior Rugby League Clubs across NSW.

The organisation - Blocker’s BBQ Fundraising – has as its central fundraising initiative, game day BBQ Boxes packed and delivered fresh to clubs.

The boxes include grass fed sausages, free range eggs, short cut bacon, sliced onions, sauces and napkins.

The boxes are designed to save time for volunteers and ensure high-quality and consistent ingredients every week.

They are priced to allow a minimum 200% profit for the clubs.
