Rockhampton's median house price falls: REIQ
Staff reporterMarch 22, 2017

Despite some promising signs in the September quarter, the December quarter brought more pressure on the Rockhampton median house price, according to REIQ's latest report.

This resulted in a fall of 5.9% to $273,000 over the final quarter of 2016.

The Rockhampton house market has declined by 5.2% this year and 10.8% over five years and is now the most affordable market measured in the QMM report.

The unit market was too small to record a median unit price; with just 16 transactions this is not a meaningful sample size.

A two bedroom house at 73 Eton Street, West Rockhampton (above) has been listed for $275,000.

Similarly a two bedroom house at 46 Jardine Street, West Rockhampton (below) has been listed for $259,000.
