The Melton district property which was the home of underworld wife, Roberta Williams in the early 2000s, during the height of Melbourne’s gangland war, has been listed for sale.

With its notorious past now behind it, 20 John Paul Drive, Hillside has been listed for sale as a family home.

The listing agents actually think its link to Ms Williams, the former wife of late crime figure Carl Williams, could give it a boost when it goes under the hammer next month.

It comes with price expectations of more than $590,000 through Barry Plant Taylors Lakes agent James Hatzimoisis.

The 47-year-old had Dhakota, her only child with convicted murderer and drug trafficker Carl, in 2001 while she owned the house.

Carl Anthony Williams (13 October 1970 – 19 April 2010) was an Australian convicted murderer and drug trafficker.

The property sold for $280,000 in February 2000 and then to the current owners for $450,000 in October 2003.

The five-bedroom house is larger than most in the Hillside area.
