The REIV is expecting about 1690 auctions in 370 suburbs this weekend.

The top auction locations this week are Richmond (23), followed by Craigieburn and Glen Waverley with 21 auctions in each, according to the REIV.

The Richmond auction listings include a double-fronted Victorian cottage on Queen Street (pictured above).

It has $1.9 million to $2.09 million price hopes.

There were 1153 auctions last weekend.

On the same weekend last year there were 1167 auctions.

There was the biggest auction weekend in the state’s history with around 1900 homes in late October.

The previous record for auctions held in a single weekend was set in November 2015 when 1712 auctions were held.
