Melbourne's North East region takes top spot in weekend auction clearance rates: CoreLogic

The North East region of Melbourne had the highest auction weekend clearance rate, according to CoreLogic’s latest report.

The property data firm says that out of the 99 auctions known to CoreLogic the North East region achieved a clearance rate of 80.8%.

This was followed by Mornington Peninsula with 80% and the Outer East with 78%.

A three bedroom house at 4 Benambra Street, Preston (above) was sold over the weekend for $1.249 million.

It was last sold in 1978 for $31,000.

Similarly a three bedroom townhouse at 1/103 Bruce Street, Preston (below) was sold for $965,000 over the weekend.

Built in 2005 it was last sold in 2006 for $325,000.
