Mandarin Oriental to open luxury hotel and residence on Collins Street

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group will develop a luxury hotel and residences on Melbourne's Collins Street slated to open in 2023.

The project is being developed by Melbourne-based property developer, Landream.

The development, titled Mandarin Oriental, will feature 196 guestrooms and suites as well as 148 residences, located on the tower’s upper floors.

The building design was created by architect Dame Zaha Hadid.

James Riley, Group Chief Executive of Mandarin Oriental said they are delighted with the opportunity to open their first hotel in Australia and look forward to bringing Mandarin Oriental’s legendary hospitality to Melbourne.

“This new development will be a welcome addition to the brand’s growing global portfolio,” he said.
