It hasn't been on the market for five decades, but now the first ever strata apartment in Sydney is up for sale.

The apartment was inherited by the now 92-year-old Mary Ingall from her parents.

The two bedroom, ground floor 1960s apartment, at 1/189 Liverpool Road, Enfield is lot number one in strata plan one.

The ordinary apartment complex, Lindsay Gardens was the world’s first ever strata-titled building.

It is offered through Ray White Drummoyne agent Chris Wilkins with $450,000 guidance.

The NSW government is currently reforming strata laws about renewal of older blocks, with compulsory acquisition on the agenda, but this offering is unlikely to trigger the beginning of any prospective whole block developer buy-up.
