Now on his retirement circuit, tennis star Lleyton Hewitt has stepped up the marketing of his super sized St Kilda Road, Melbourne penthouse.

Overlooking Albert Park lake, he purchased two apartments and merged them into a mega, six-bedroom penthouse.

He has been seeking to sell for several year, formally relisting it fully furnished in August last year.

After previous $15 million hopes, he amended the price significantly to around $10 million. But no formal asking price in the latest campaign.

The 2006 Yve apartment complex's most recent sale has been on the 17th floor at $1.88 million, having previously sold in 2010 at $1,665,000. It first sold off the plan in 2004 at $1,828,000.

Sotheby's retain the Yve penthouse listing which has 710 square metre internal space plus 443 square metres outdoor living space over levels 19 and 20.

The residence is controlled by a world-leading AMX Smart System that includes remote-controlled sheer and blackout blinds, plasma screens in each room, zoned music and an extensive video library.

Finishes include terrazzo flooring, marble bench tops, European appliances and soundproof glazing to all glass walls.
