Lendlease has been awarded the building contract for the new acute services building at the Prince of Wales Hospital.

The building is scheduled to open in 2022.

It is part of the NSW Government’s $720 million Randwick campus redevelopment.

The announcement follows more than 18 months of successful collaboration between Lendlease, NSW government and other key stakeholders.

Lendlease will be required to facilitate a ‘skills legacy pilot program’, in partnership with TAFE NSW, as part of the agreement.

It requires them to provide education, employment and training for women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, the long term unemployed, and apprentices.

Lendlease will have 600 construction workers on the site at the peak period.
