Langston House, the 1892 Epping colonial residence, has been sold for $1.91 million.

The house, with pressed metal ceilings, sits on a 1,082 square metre parcel.

The Norfolk Road property last sold in 2001 at $700,000.

It was identified by the 1993 Perumal Murphy Wu heritage study and gazetted in 2001 on the local environment plan.

Epping's median house price sits at around $1.19 million, according to RP Data.

The colonial classic was sold by John Pearce, a senior executive at New Zealand's multi-national dairy co-op Fonterra, and his wife, Susan. They were the fifth owners.
