Knock down rebuilds dominate top 10 sales: RP Data

Two of the top four sales this week were recent knock down rebuilds.

Sydney’s was in Strathfield for $3,005,000 with the newly constructed five-bedroom, four bathrooms house at 65 Barker Street sold through Ray White Burwood.

The vendor YK Global Developments bought a red brick knock down on 699 square metres in June last year for $1.310 million and created the new home.

Coincidentally, the priciest residential property to sell in Melbourne during weekend auctions was a house in CAMBERWELL, which sold for $3.6 million.

The glamorous five-bedroom, four-bathroom house on 743 square metres at 73 Bowen Street was sold for $1.395 million in May last year as a building block.

CAMBERWELL is 10 kilometres from the CBD, and Strathfield 14 kilometres. The construction outlays are unknown, but the two homes present an interesting comparison all the same.
