Ivy Lane, Darlington warehouse finds $3.325m buyer
The Darlington inner-city warehouse of photographer Baz Anderson and his partner, Beverley Larsson, was listed for sale with initial $2.5 million hopes which were raised to $2.65 million.
But the three-level property fetched $3.325 million at weekend auction.
It was used as a studio for the portraiture work by J. Barry Anderson.
The Ivy Lane property has a commercial lease until October at $6,500 a month to the market research agency Ruby Cha Cha.
The vendors bought the then single-storey industrial building on its 170 sqm block in 1992 for $220,000.
There's 293 sqm internal space plus a 17 sqm mezzanine level.
Estate agent William Phillips marketed it as a designer home.
The buyers are believed to be a couple from the area, The Sunday Telegraph reported.
