The White House in old Byron Bay on Kingsley Street would look more at home in Miami, a stark modern offering will test the demand when auctioned in November with $3 million plus hopes.

Qantas captain Pete Chaseling and his equestrienne wife, Angela and their three children have recently returned from a year off sailing the Pacific Islands and are moving to be closer to family.

The architectural design was inspired by the work of Isay Weinfeld.

The four bedroom solar passive home has a north facing back yard of level lawn, covered timber decking, pool and vegie garden on its 1015 sqm holding.

Ruth Gotterson from Unique Estates and Nick Dunn at McGrath have the listing.

Kingsley Street has seen sales up to $3.5 million.
