Hunter region scores weekend auction clearance rate of 90 percent: CoreLogic

The Hunter region had scored the highest regional weekend auction clearance rate, according to CoreLogic’s latest report.

The property data firm says that 90 percent of the 20 auctions in the region were cleared.

This was followed by Wollongong with 75 percent and Geelong with 71.9 percent.

Gold Coast had the lowest clearance rate with only 30% of its auctions cleared.

A three bedroom house at 1 Dean Avenue, Raymond Terrace (above) was sold for $315,000.

Built in 1970 it last sold for $262,000 in 2015.

Another three bedroom house at 169 Beaumont Street, Hamilton (below) was sold for $925,000.

It last sold in 2003 for $450,000.
