An Emerald Hill bluestone terrace built in 1859 has been listed for sale.

It was once owned by William Thistlethwaite, a former mayor of South Melbourne.

Just two bedrooms at 7 Cecil Place, South Melbourne plus sitting room and living room, and kitchen to the courtyard.

The property is listed at $950,000 through Marshall White’s Adrian Wood after failing to sell at recent auction.

It last sold at $160,000 in 1989.
