Longueville has a new record price after the riverfront home of Matilda Cruises founder Tim Lloyd sold pre-auction for around $7.6 million.

The 1,182 square metre property had initial $6.5 million-plus price guidance. It boasts a private beach, boatshed and slipway on the Lane Cove River.

The previous suburb high was $7.4 million for a Poole Street 3,604 square metre riverfront reserve holding in 2005.

Longueville's non-waterfront record also hit a new high recently when another Chinese buyer bought on Arabella Street for around $7.25 million.
