A designer revival of the backyard dunny? Well, not quite yet.

The property with a turn of the century brick outhouse with renovated Federation home failed to sell last weekend at Balmain.

The brick outhouse stands in the backyard behind a house stylishly redesigned by SJB Architects in 2009.

Over $3 million had been expected at its 11 October auction.

Now it has a $3.3 million asking price by the listing agent Monique Dower at Belle Property who described the property as a striking “a perfect balance between classical architecture and cutting-edge design.”
