Darwin property resales at loss highest in Palmerston: CoreLogic Pain and Gain
Over the September 2016 quarter, 26.4 percent of Darwin houses and 41.0 percent of Darwin units resold for less than their previous purchase price, according to CoreLogic’s latest Pain and Gain report.
The property data firm says that the instances of loss-making resales have continued to trend higher over the quarter from their previous record-highs.
The chart below relates to Darwin only losses in houses versus units.
Across the council areas, Litchfield saw the lowest proportion of loss-making resales (17.4%) followed by: Darwin (31.7%) and Palmerston (33.9%).
