The former young Rich Lister Simon Clausen, now an expatriate in Switzerland, has finally sold heritage-listed, Victorian-era Kirribilli investment property, Burnleigh.

The 1875 property at 48 Carabella Street fetched $4.5 million to an interstate buyer who plans to move to Sydney.

It was sold through Century 21 Mosman agent Jonathon De Brennan.

The computer software entrepreneur Clausen and his wife, Alexandra, bought the grand five-bedroom, four-bathroom house on hillside 810 square metres in Carabella Street in 2008 for $3.98 million.

The technology entrepreneur, who retains a Balmoral Slopes property, debuted on the 2009 BRW Rich List with a $180 million fortune after selling his software company.

The house had been listed since October 2013, with a change in marketing agent earlier this month.

It was also listed briefly in late 2010.
