Jan Gowrie-Smith, the former wife of expat entrepreneur Ian Gowrie-Smith, has sold her Tamarama virtual oceanfront abode.

The Fletcher Street property was listed in April with a $10 million plus expectations through the Blacket Agency's Peter Blacket.

With neo-Spanish facade, the home was largely rebuilt by architect Graham Humphrys five years ago, having traded in 1979 for around $40,000.

There are six luxurious bedrooms and five European-appointed travertine bathrooms.

There was a $15 million sale a few doors away in 2013.
