Akin, the newest apartment project from the Brisbane developer Tallis Property Group, has been strategically located to take advantage of all the burgeoning South Bank has to offer.

The Merivale Street tower is just around the corner from Fish Lane, the recently developed&nbsp;laneway-style town square,&nbsp;which is the hub of Brisbane's art, culture and entertainment scene. The street facade is an abstract landscape of contrasting shapes and undulations, utilising the light filtering through from day-to-day to add to the grandeur of the build. Concrete facades give the form a raw quality, while the introduction of greenery illustrates a contrast, furthermore, presenting the vision of the developers.

To the right of the main building, moss green tiles of a human scale create a textured wall, while also delineating the main built form. On the eastern side of the residential building the moss green tiles continue, where a third scale is introduced for a third artwork opportunity.

A Sydney-based developer is set to create Aspire, a beachfront tower on the Surfers Paradise dress circle Garfield Terrace.

The 24-level development at 9-11 Garfield Terrace, currently home to the 1970s Anglesea Court complex, will offer standard size apartments of nearly 500 sqm, with 37 apartments on offer.

The Sydney architect&nbsp;Mosca Pserras Architects designed Aspire which will be broken down in to 30 three-bedroom apartments, six premium three-bed apartments, and one two-level penthouse.

The communal areas are located on the ground and first level, above four levels of basement parking, and will feature a swimming pool right on the beach, next to a lower lawn terrace which will offer direct access.

Aspire Gold Coast to offer whole-floor apartments on Surfers Paradise beachfront

Azzura have kicked off construction at their $2.3 billion Imperial Square project on the Gold Coast&#39;s Southport.

Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate turned the sod alongside Azzura founder and chief executive Robert Badalotti.

The $155 million first stage, to be built by the local construction company Descon Group Australia,&nbsp;will see the residential arm of Imperial Square,&nbsp;known as&nbsp;Regal Residences, soar 18 levels&nbsp;on the 1.34 hectare site at the corner of Meron Street and Ferry Road.

The 4.5 star hotel with 200 hotel rooms will also be part of the first stage.

Already around half of the 145 apartments in Regal Residences have sold, with Azzura&#39;s&nbsp;sales director Jason Paris pinning the strong sales on the pent-up demand for new product in the city&rsquo;s CBD hub.

&ldquo;Regal Residences represents incredible value with apartments selling for an average of $6000 per square metre, which is a third of the selling price of some beachfront locations on the Coast,&rdquo; he said.&nbsp;
