Leading Australian development and construction group ALAND has taken over another development site from Jean Nassif's disgraced Toplace.

A few weeks after announcing it would be <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/news/nsw/aland-to-deliver-final-three-buildings-in-top-places-skyview-apartment-development-in-castle-hill">developing the final three towers</a> in Toplace's five-tower Castle Hill development Skyview, Andrew Hrsto's <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/developers/aland">ALAND</a> has swooped on 189 Macquarie Street in the heart of <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/developments/parramatta-nsw">Parramatta</a>.

The $100 million deal for the 5,213 sqm site is ALAND's&nbsp;largest individual property acquisition since the company was founded in 2002.

Plans had been for two 54 and 41-level towers, however ALAND is now scaling back those plans, instead opting for two 30-level towers with 425 apartments, 1,550 sqm of communal open space, 317 sqm of retail floor space, and 715 public and 389 resident parking spaces

Western Sydney developer ALAND set its sights on Gosford just over two years ago, when it secured a prime site on the corner of two of Gosford's best-located streets.

They went about creating <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/new-apartments/archibald-by-aland-108-donnison-street-gosford">Archibald by ALAND</a>, a mixed-use development comprising both apartments and luxury hotel rooms.

In early 2023, <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/developers/aland">ALAND</a> put the shovel in the ground, less than 12 months after purchasing the 5,656 sqm block of land on the corner of Mann and Denison Streets.

After 18 months of building, ALAND Construction has now topped out the two towers, with the honourable NSW Premier Chris Minns the first to congratulate the team at the recent topping out ceremony.

Named after Archibald Acheson, the second Earl of Gosford, Archibald by ALAND features 327 apartments, a 130-room voco® hotel, and six hospitality venues, including the Central Coast’s highest rooftop bar.

Over 95 per cent of the apartments in the development have already sold, marking the project one of the most successful across Greater Sydney for a number of years.

Building crew, staff and guests last week celebrated the topping out at Paramount on Parkes, ALAND’s new $357 million development in Paramatta CBD, marking the successful conclusion of its construction phase.

The ceremony, an age-old tradition in which a tree is hoisted onto the top floor of a new building, was held on level 46 of the mixed-use development on Parkes Street.

When completed in August this year, the new tower will contain 331 apartments, a ground-floor retail precinct, resort-style amenities and six floors of dedicated commercial space at the summit.

The ceremony was attended by Dr Andrew Charlton, federal MP for Parramatta, Cr Pierre Esber, the Lord Mayor of Parramatta, Tom Forrest, CEO of Urban Taskforce Australia and Gurmeet Tuli, President of Little India Australia.

Privately-held developer ALAND has had the second stage of its $800 million Merrylands development, The Gladstone Village, approved by the Cumberland City Council.

The second stage of <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/new-apartments/the-gladstone-village-224-240-pitt-street-merrylands">The Gladstone Village</a> boasts a 20-level structure that will house a mix of 245 one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, along with three ground-floor retail spaces and a large residents-only rooftop terrace.

The tower is dominated by two-beds (196), with 28 one-bedroom apartments and 21 three-bedders.

On the top level, residents will have access to a 940 sqm rooftop terrace providing a variety of amenities including an outdoor cinema screen, a barbecue area kitchen pavilion, yoga and retreat spaces, as well as a community vegetable garden. &nbsp;

Paramount on Parkes, the latest apartment tower to hit the market in Parramatta, has been&nbsp;strategically located to take advantage of Sydney's second CBD, but on the fringe of the continually expanding area to give it a sense of freedom from the busy city streets.

The glass-swathed tower, which is being developed by ALAND, the main sponsor of the Parramatta Eels, will rise 39 levels from its Parkes Street address, which puts it closer to four parks and reserves than it does the Parramatta train station.

That itself however is just a 600 metre walk to the west, offering commuters who aren't based in the Parramatta CBD an equally convenient commute to work. Two blocks up from Paramount on Parkes is the Harris St Light Rail stop.
