Luxury apartment developer and hotel operator, KTQ Group, has cleared the final hurdle in its Kirra Beach Hotel redevelopment project.

A court appeal to stop the development of a further three buildings in the transformative project has recently been dismissed, paving the way for more apartments above a slew of new retail and services spaces in the sought-after surf mecca.

Following the first stage completion of Miles Residences, which recently settled, Peggy Flannery's&nbsp;<a href="https://www.urban.com.au/developers/ktq-group">KTQ Group</a> will now push on with another 16-level building with 116 apartments, a 13-level building with 87 apartments, and a seven-level hotel with 92 rooms.

The development will also feature food and drink outlets, shops, offices, health care services, service industries, and indoor sports and recreation facilities.

<a href="https://www.urban.com.au/new-apartments/miles-residences-kirra-point-penthouse-corner-miles-street-and-marine-paradise-kirra">Miles Residences</a>&nbsp;was the first stage of the redevelopment that was released to the market in late 2020. It witnessed overwhelming demand, with all apartments sold within a few months. The success prompted the expedited construction of Miles Residences, alongside the replacement of the original Kirra Beach Hotel with a new pub and pavilion.

Other revisions to the initial 2022 plans include the removal of building four, the introduction of indoor sport and recreation facilities, design changes, and height increases for smaller buildings.

The development will be home to a total of 203 apartments and a 92-room hotel, with a notable shift towards fewer one-bedroom and more four-bedroom apartments compared to earlier proposals.

The final plans, designed by <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/architects/little-boat-projects">Little Boat Projects</a> with support from <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/architects/nettletontribe">Nettleton Tribe</a>, were approved following additional information on the noise impacts of the rooftop pool and bar area.&nbsp;

The rooftop area is designated for exclusive use by hotel guests and will not host live music events.

The project, expected to be completed by 2026, has already commenced construction, with initial demolition, excavation, and groundwork underway.&nbsp;

KTQ clears final approval for Kirra Beach Hotel redevelopment

The redevelopment of the Kirra Beach Hotel, the large scale&nbsp;project by the luxury apartment developer and hotel operator, KTQ, is set to be delivered well ahead of schedule.

Rather than delivering the vast project in four stages, KTQ, led by Peggy Flannery, will be delivering the development as a single and final stage, which will bring forward project completion by three years.

KTQ has made tweaks to the plans, added a floor of commercial space and another level of hotel rooms, taking it to a 92-room hotel. There will be another two levels of apartments in the second residential tower, which will see a further 13 apartments and 14 hotel rooms added.

The resort pool and bar has moved to the rooftop on Level 6, and the pool and recreation facilities for the second&nbsp;residential tower is also on the rooftop &ndash; level 13.

KTQ saw huge demand for stage one of the project, Miles Residences, which saw all 118 apartments&nbsp;snapped up within just a few months.

That saw construction of Miles Residences, as well as the new pub and pavilion that will replaced to original Kirra Beach Hotel, fast-tracked.

The project is now well underway, with demolition, excavation, and ground work commenced.

Damant says the precinct laneways, with extensive retail, will offer &quot;something for everyone.&quot;

There will be another opportunity to buy in the sought-after precinct later this year, with&nbsp;a second residential building with resident amenity on the roof, to hit the market in the summer.

The well regarded building firm, Hutchinsons,&nbsp;are handling the construction of the development, which is set to be the go-to spot just off the sand.

&ldquo;We&rsquo;re on the cusp of a renaissance for&nbsp;Kirra Beach&nbsp;that will deliver an exciting new destination in its own right where locals and visitors will be able to live&nbsp;work and play,&rdquo; Holmes added.
